France was supposed to wear white in the match v Hungary (WC78) and did not bring their other kit to Mar de Plata. Hungary offered their red kit but the keeper was to wear red and did not want to change. So, they went to the Kimberley Club and borrowed 14 unworn shirts (2-11, 13-16). All 14 shirts were returned to the club after the match and the kit man gave #5 to a local collector, which found its way to the FIFA Museum is Switz. No one knows where the other 13 shirts are located. See Argentina\C.A. Kimberley, for a model they used in the 70s, very similar to the WC model.
